Hi I’m Katharine and I live on the coast of Suffolk in a small town next to the sea.

Ive always been into crafting. When I was younger I loved cross stitch. My Nan used to give me her old books and threads to use. I also loved the ‘get set kits’ I had the cross stitch, candle making and stamping boxes (I still have them!)

I first got into paper crafting when I was 19. I was gifted a small box and it had card blanks inside, some paper fairies that you could cut out, beads and bits of coloured hand made paper. I made a few cards and that was it for a bit. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my son and my mum brought me a scrapbook album from America that I first discovered the world of scrapbooking. There wasn’t a lot of choice then but I was obsessed with watching with QVC esp with Dawn Bibby. I managed to do the first two years of my sons life and then didn’t really have time plus I had my daughter too.

Fast forward a good number of years and I’ve really got back into crafting. The last 3 years has really fuelled my creativity and now having my large craft desk helps even more.

I’m probably more drawn to stamps because of the detail you can get from them and also I’ve only had my Sizzix machine for nearly two years (but wanted one for 10 years!) But I do love stamp and die combos!

I draw a lot of inspiration from the actual product. Just by looking at it, ideas will pop into my head. But if I get stuck I love looking through Pinterest. Instagram is another place I like to look, I follow a lot of creative people on there with amazing ideas.

My favourite brand  is anything from Trimcraft. I’ve always loved this brand but in the last couple of years they’ve really come along as a business and brought out lots of really lovely products that I want to buy. The First Edition paper pads are so pretty and probably my favourite product.

I have a few other hobbies, I started learning to crochet last year but haven’t made much yet. I’ve got into planning over 3 years ago, along with mixed media and made lots of friends through it. And I’ve also been making cakes for the last 3 years or so too.
