Have you tried Cosmic Shimmer's Glitter Kiss product? Discover how it can take your papercrafting to the next level.

This afternoon I had a crafting session with my Crafters Companion 3D embossing folders and Lavender Glitter Kiss, I  have found the 3D folders with their swirling designs show the glitter kiss to its best effect. For anyone who hasn't used this medium before the best way I can describe it is, as a fast drying ( 30 sec )glitter accent that leaves wonderful colour that does not shed, is applied with a sponge that is in the lid and is easily washed from hands with soap and water.

I always use a heavy  300gsm card-stock to emboss 3D folders as it gives a better image and is stronger and less likely to tear. I trimmed the 3D image and I then took the sponge out of the lid of the Glitter Kiss  by pushing it sideways until it popped out. I have found that it is best to dip the sponge and then drag it across the top of the jar rim till you have a little on the sponge in this case less is more, it's easier I find to build the colour in thin layers not all at once which can leave a mess. After trying several ways to apply the medium I had the best result using a circular movement lightly applying two coats. I followed the swirls of the design, this worked well, any of the Crafters Companion 3D folders would work with this method.

I also die cut some flowers in several sizes(I used Sue Wilson chrysanthemum but others would work too). layering them up I used wet glue and smooshed the glitter around the edges of the petals, it was easy to do and I finished the flower with a gem stone coloured with alcohol marker to match the glitter.

Alcohol markers are so useful, besides colouring I use mine to tint white ribbon to match my cards and I always have a jar of clear gems to use with my markers. It is so easy to apply tape runner to a piece of card, stick the gem to the tape, colour, leave to dry and then use your pokey tool to take them off the card to apply to your project.

I matched the colour of the glitter with Centura Pearl cardstock and a plain white card and matted and layered for an A5 card. I cut a narrow strip of glitter card and wrapped this around the topper and used a piece of Matt silver foil card on my card blank, I then matted the topper with 3D foam to give height and glued the flower to the glitter band and finished with a sentiment and a matching infill.

"Hello everyone my name is Margaret but my crafting friends and friends call me MaggieB.  I live in the North East and have been paper crafting for over 30 years. I have dabbled with many different mediums, I love die cutting, stamping and inking, alcohol colouring, water colouring, cd crafting, calligraphy and brush lettering to name but a few. Over the years I have supplied many shops and post offices with my cards and also taught crafting. I now prefer a quieter life and make cards for my regular customers, family and friends. My craft space is never empty there is always a pile of to do cards to get started on, each one being so different from the last."
